

I’m all about world/character building but by the end I was literally saying out loud “get to the point already”. Good novels will make you want to go re-read them after a time and enjoy the journey all over again, you couldn’t pay me to read these novels again. During the fourth book I had to literally force myself to continue to the end as I grew so tired of the author’s writing style of dragging things painfully out. Most of the content/banter/information is truly nonsense and unnecessary. The story is overly confusing and not in a good “aha, so that’s what all that meant” kind of way. EVERY random thought/observation/action is quickly followed up by a metaphor of some kind or some character’s introspection.
